Jamie’s coaching philosophy is “working with each individual” – to best understand where you are in your golfing journey. This includes: your skill level, your physical capabilities, your golfing goals, and your time for practice, play, and applying skills. This is then matched with appropriate coaching instruction, drills, exercises, and practice loads.
Jamie started his golf in Adelaide, playing junior and senior representative golf for South Australia, and was selected for two amateur Australian representative teams. Jamie completed his PGA traineeship at Surfers Paradise Golf Club and Coolangatta Tweed Heads, working and playing on tour out of Coolangatta. He then spent two and a half years as Head Professional at Renmark Golf Club, and three at West Lakes Golf Club.
Jamie spent eight years as a Golf SA high-performance coach and state coach for junior and senior teams. He also coached the winning Australian Team in Argentina at the 2012 Juan Carlos Tailhade Cup.
Jamie’s has extensive experience working with beginner golfers, juniors, club members, and elite level golfers. He also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in retail, club fitting and use of technology.

Beginners
Individual, shared and group coaching is available at the Par 3 Course for adults and juniors. This is the perfect place to learn putting, chipping and swing basics on our short course. Simon will teach you about safety, some basic rules and etiquette.
Experienced
Learn how to save shots on and around the greens and with video footage of your technique. Find out how to lower your scores and get out of tricky spots with on-course coaching. Long game and tee shots sessions are held on the driving range.
About Simon
He started golfing in England where he completed his PGA traineeship before heading overseas. After five years competing in Europe, Africa, the US, and Australia, he worked as a David Leadbetter Academy Instructor, coaching in Austria, Spain and Florida. With this experience behind him, Simon ran his own Academy back home in England.
He moved to Adelaide in 2009 and worked at Drummond Golf Driving Range until 2015 before joining North Adelaide Golf Course, where he continues to improve as a coach. Through seminars, online modules and webinars, Simon is an Advanced and Certified PGA Professional.
