Golf is the perfect school holiday activity
Did you know the average Australian child spends more than 2.5 hours in front of a screen? Get their eyes off their iPad and into the great outdoors with golf lessons at North Adelaide Golf Course.
Using a program called My Golf (think AusKick for AFL), your child will learn all the basics they need to play golf: from driving the ball to putting a shot, to knowing the rules to call you out when you try to move that leaf blocking your ball without penalty.
Plus, they'll get lots of sunshine and have lots of fun – freeing you up for a beer or two at our 19th Hole Bar & Cafe.
Equipment can be borrowed if you need it. Please bring a hat and water, and wear appropriate sunscreen, shoes and neat casual clothing.
My Golf – SNAG (4–9 years)
Session 1: 9.30am–10.30am, Thursday 9 January
The SNAG (Starting New At Golf) program is for young golfers starting out and learning the game. Your child will learn the fundamentals of the game, and, most importantly, have a great time doing it! All sessions are guided by our qualified PGA professionals.
My Golf – Rookies (7–17 years)
Dates: Tuesdays 17 December (8am–10am); 7 January & 21 January (9am–11am)
The Rookies program is for golfers starting out and learning the game, but are just that little bit older than the SNAG program. Like SNAG, your child will learn the fundamentals of the game, and will be guided by our qualified PGA professionals.
My Golf – Stars (9–15 years)
Dates: Thursdays 19 December & 16 January
The Stars program is for kids who have previous golfing experience and are looking for the extra help in improving their game. Your child will learn more advanced skills to improve their fundamentals, and will be guided by our qualified PGA Professionals. Your child will also get driving range and course access.
